Rhodonite is said to heal old inner wounds and scars. It is said that wearers of this stone find it easier to forgive injustice, suffering, and pain. It can help release lingering anger and resentment and promotes forgiveness of oneself and others. This can strengthen friendships and resolve conflicts constructively. It is also said to prevent trauma when used immediately after experiencing shock or serious events.

Rhodonite is said to be one of the best wound-healing stones and is therefore known as the "first aid stone." It is said to accelerate the healing of minor injuries and reduce scarring. It is also said to strengthen the heart and circulation and have fertility-enhancing properties for both sexes.

Mineralogie & Entstehung

Rhodonite is a manganese inosilicate with the typical combination of pink base color and black manganese oxide veins. The name comes from the Greek "rhodon" (rose). Transparent crystals are extremely rare and are among the most sought-after collector minerals worldwide.

Pflege & Reinigung

Discharge under running water and charge on rock crystal or in moonlight. Mohs hardness of 6 indicates medium sensitivity – exercise some caution with mechanical stress on jewelry. Avoid acids and harsh cleaners.

Verwechslungsgefahren & Qualität

Rhodochrosite is the most common look-alike – it shows banded pink-white patterns instead of black veins. Thulite (pink zoisite) can also look similar but has no black manganese oxide inclusions and is usually more evenly colored.
